I cannot believe it! 2nd Amex approved!

I am so very excited right now! Just a brief history for me... Back in August 2012 my credit was in the tank, My score hovered around EQ- 524, Trans- 540 and Experian- 498

Pretty horrible I know.. Anyway, I opened a secured Cap1 card that August and made a plan to recover my credit. Fast forward today.. My EQ-658, Trans- 670 (swings alot 670-719)and EX- 687. So a few days ago I was reading a post on here with stats for Amex so I decided again to pull the trigger like i have done so many times before with them and was approved for PRG (1st Amex)! So I have read where peope get approved for one revolver and one charge on here so I decided to apply for the Delta Gold Skymiles and I received the email this morning APPROVED!!!!!! I called the number for new accounts this morning and guess what? My credit line is 10K!!!!!!!!!!

I guess all my hatd work and having all those Chase cards helped after all? Anyway I wanted to share my journey with all on here. For those waiting to get into Amex just keep up the good work and it will eventually pay off! I have NO need for any other cards now, I finally achieved what was once very impossible for me!

Nice Congrats!!!!! Your journey has inspired me and a lot of other people on Myfico So keep up the good work and I'm trying to catch up so if you can't slow down a little bit.

You don't half to slow down. I'm just learning from you and as far as AMEX goes they will never let me back to you not after what I did in 1999.

Congrats. Very nice starting limit on the Delta! That 10k will obviously be alot bigger if you want it to be in a very short amount of time or it should be

Congrats! In 91 days that limit will be at least $20k or more. I was approved in November for $10k. On the 91St day, I requested my cli of $20k and got it. I am still in shock lol. I didn't know what the threshold was before the tax return request would kick in so I went the safe route. I should have asked for more. Keep that in mind

I probaly will not ask for the CLI at 91 days. I prefer to stay off their radar! I believe 25K might set the tax return information from them. Congratulations on your increase though!
