Barclay Cash Forward Approval

I really thought I was done app'ing for the year, but I've had this preapproval letter with a great rate laying around for two weeks now... and it finally got me.

I hopped online last night and typed in the preapproval web address, filled in the info, and clicked submit.

Instant approval for $5,000.

For those interested: TU08 score of 719 at the time of app. 15% utilization and 5 new accounts in the last 12 months, before adding this one.

I was hoping for more, seeing the $15k SL's that have been flying around, but $5k is nothing to scoff at. I am quite happy. I am simply using this card to transfer some higher interest balances, so I can pay them off more quickly. The card has a 0% intro rate for 15 months, then 15% after that. I am very happy to have added Barclay to my portfolio, and I look forward to using this card, once I've paid down the transfers.

Any tips or advice as a Barclaycard customer are more than welcomed!!

Congrats on your approval. As for your limit, in 6 months you can call ask for an APR reduction and a SP CLI

In my case, Barclays seems to like mild usage and frequent payments... they gave me about a 300% auto CLI at 6 months.
