Mini Spree Success- Citi TYP, Discover IT, Amex BCE and Delta Gold

Applied for both Amex BCE and Delta Gold, got the 14 days message both times. Called in both times and was told they just wanted to make sure it was me applying online. I confirmed my address, birth year, last 4 of SSN and bam APPROVED. BCE was for $5000 and Delta Gold was for $1000. Was told to call back when I receive cards to ask for more. I'm happy! No more apps for a very long time lol.

Updated (approvals):

Amex BCE $5000

Delta Gold $1000 (will call when I get card and ask for a higher SL)

Citi Thank You Preffered $5600

Discover IT $6600

Saks 5th Avenue $1500

So I took my madness further since I have teh app itch LOL and was approved for the Discover IT card also (after being denied like a year ago). That's 3 appovals today....I swear I'll stop here LOL. Hmmm maybe I should just hit up Chase LOL. BTW, I did not have any Pre-quals.

So I got a bit greedy and hit Citi up and applied for the Thank You Preferred. Got a message saying "We have received your application and further processing is required. We will contact you within a week regarding our decision."

I immediately called the back door number and my app was missing my address, number, etc. I provided them and was put on hold for a couple of minutes. Rep came back and informed me that and I was APPROVED for $5,600.

Seriously I am DONE LOL. I wanted to hit Chase up but that 5/24 greatly scares me!

What income did you report if you don't mind me asking and also do you think having your scores in the 700's helped you get higher starting limits. I am just in the 630's and wonder if I should wait a while to app for amex and discover. thanks in advance.

and mynewcredit i would absolutely wait if i were you. keep in mind it's not on the score that's a little low, it's the things on your report that bring the score down.

$90K and maybe my scores did have something to do with it. However, I have cards with $9K, $7k and $21K on it....so that probably has something to do with it also. They all started with lower SL except for the $21K card from NavyFed, that was my initial SL. I was getting starting limits in the $1K - $5K range when my scores were in the mid to high 600's, but I did have at least 1 collection on each resport at that time. Now, I do not have any. The only baddies I have left are late pay. AND, it's been 3 years and 4 months since my last late pay according to Experian.

I think I got in the door with Amex when my score was like 640 - 650 AND, I had a collection. Tried with Discover around the same time and got DENIED (I was hurt) LOL LOL. Not sure what Amex liked about my profile, but I sure did take the 2 for 1 deal. It's been a year now. I got the Amex ED card which started with $1k and the Amex PRG, it's now grown to $9K over the last year. I'd say wait til you hit at least 650 and pull the trigger.

You know how it is when you get the app itch....I'm done for real this time LOL. I really wante dthe Saks card because I order from them A LOT. Now I am happy. the SL is rather low, but I will hopefully get CLI's, so I'm not worried.

Thanks for your response and Congrats. I will wait it out a bit. I have two collections that I paid and am getting deleted within the next 30 days. My income is less than yours so I am sure that will play into it too. Once again thanks.
