USAA Platinum Mastercard Approval

I have been very hesitant to apply for an unsecured card, but after reading some around here, following some steps that were outlined -- including signing up for score alert . I have been making solid progress on my FICO scores, so I applied for a Wal Mart card a couple days ago and was approved for a $700 limit. I have been a member of USAA for the last year, and after seeing people's positive results with USAA I figured that I might have a shot. So I just applied for the world rewards mastercard. It came back and said that I was approved for the platinum rewards at a CL of 4k. I am very excited about this! I will not be apping anywhere else until I attempt to buy a house in a few months.

Oh yes Trish -- hence the hesitation. I was severely behind on my mortgage and did a SS of my house four years ago. I have one collection with a zero balance, that I paid off right before I found this site and learned what a PFD is. I have one current collection for 1600. USAA pulls EQ, as is well doccumented here, and EQ is my best score. It was 550 before I paid off my two small secured cards at which time it jumped to its current spot (over two months, one card paid off each month).
