Amex Hilton approval!

Saw Amex had an offer for 75K points for 1K spend right now and this card has no annual fee. So went ahead and submitted an app and came back as an instant approval! The limit is only 2K but I'm fine with that for now. Probably a sign I should garden for a while which I will most likely do. But a approval none the less!

Congrats!!! I am DYING to get the Citi Hilton card but I need to stay in the garden for a while before I apply for it. Just curious - why did you apply for the Amex Hilton instead of the Citi Hilton card? Just want to know if I need to keep my eye on this other card instead.

AmEx card gets you more points per dollar spent, also I believe the 5th night free benefit is exclusive to the AmEx.

Ahhhh... got it. I went ahead and applied for the Amex Hilton as well a few days ago. I really wanted a Hilton Card but figured it would have been easier to get approved for the Citi Hilton instead of the Amex Hilton. I would have never thought I would have been approved for an Amex but I am so happy I applied. They only gave me at $1.4k limit but I have my foot in the door.... and the 75k bonus points is def a nice plus. Your post def inspired me to apply!! Thanks again

@thummel ... i think i have too many cards at the moment, several are nearin 6mo mark, due for 180 day CLI on my Amex ED so dont wanna mess up those chances ... want to close some useless retail ones!!

Sweet. I'm right there with ya. I'm going for the Delta Amex this month though, since I fly Delta a lot and I'm targeted for 60k miles. I'm sure the Hilton 75k+ offers will be back.

My Experian was a 679 at the time I was approved.
