Shell Gas Card - A Bump in the right direction.

I've had this Shell Gas Card with a starting limit of $500.00 since last summer.

My husband and I never put more than 100-200 bucks on it and always PIF each

month.

I aked numerous times throughout this time for a CLI but always got turned down.

When I called a few months ago, the woman said to wait and because of my excellent

payments Shell would surely review me and automatically increase my limit.

Well, that never happened.

Today, after reviewing a few accounts, I went on their revamped website and

sent an email request for an increase to $2,000.00

They responded in a couple of hours and raised my total limit to $1,000.00

Not a lot but at least it's going in the right direction! UP!

My TU is low at 623 and EXP 633 UTIL 20% 2 Baddies (will drop off next year)

Be patient, lot of us had to take baby steps to get higher limits. And isnt that Shell card backed by Citi, and only good at Shell stations? Cant imagine needing a huge limit on it anyway. The APR must be killer?

Wont be long and you'll be closing that card for something better anyway. 4 years ago I couldnt even get a gas card

Sorry to thread bump, but did they conduct a hard pull or was it a soft pull?

Trying to figure out their revamped website, and if it went the way of the other Citi cards finally where online requests are soft pull first and they'll warn you if it's going to be a hard pull.

It was a HP. For that reason I will never ask for an increase again.

$2000 is more than enough for Shell.

I always PIF so never had any problems with APR Rate!
