USAA Rewards Visa Signature

Well, I had been planning to garden for a while. Want my scores to incubate till end of this year when I will be car shopping. I'm a full member of USAA and have had auto/home insurance with them for 10+ years. I currently bank with Chase and also have been gardening with the thought that when I do fall within 5/24 I'll snag a CSP and Freedom combo. Alas, I got an email about an hour ago from USAA saying I had been pre-selected for the Rewards Visa Signature. Thought, "What the heck?" and submitted my application. Approved with starting credit limit of $13k. My highest previous limit was my Venture card at $10k. I'm sure they pulled Equifax, and my stats for EQ are below. I am very tempted to just put all my banking with USAA at this point.

Total utilization 3%

I have missed USAA, they have always been easy to deal with. Plus I have been a member for 11 years and was reminded of that during my last few calls. I too am thinking to transfer from BofA to USAA but the only thing that is keeping me with BofA is the CC. They were the first to extend a helping hand, so I am torn.

I love their insurance and customer service. Was very tempted by a lower cost offer from Geico recently, but sometimes cheaper isn't always better.

Congratulations on the approval. I received a message a couple of days ago for the cash rewards plus Amex. I like the 5% cash back on gas to back up my Sallie Mae. I decided to go for it, but was unable to due to verification issues. I sent a couple of my dd214 and was told I should hear something with 5 days. My stats are similar to yours so hopefully I'll get in with a nice SL too.

This is precisely why I think it's a good thing that everyone put in their stats at the time of approval, so that others can get some useful information out of it.
