Most amazing 12 hours of credit to date!!

Last night I applied for the Blue Cash Preferred, and Ebates. I received the 14 day message for the BCP and didn't know what was going to happen. Ebates was an instant approval for $3000. I woke up this morning to an email from Amex saying "We're so excited you applied" blah blah. I got excited when I saw the word excited. Lol. About an hour later I get an email that says "You're Approved" I couldn't freaking believe it!! Best approval ever.

Ebates is exciting just because I know it's hard to get an approval. But that Amex, I have literally been wanting an Amex since I was 12 and I would see my Mom swipe away at the store.

Almost 2 years post Bankruptcy. TU and Experian both in 700s, (Equifax sucks). I am so happy to be in this position today. Happiest credit day besides BK discharge (Such a relief) . Off to the garden, for real this time! Lol

EDIT QUESTION- DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT A TYPICAL/ AVERAGE STARTING LIMIT IS FOR BCP? I HEARD YOU CAN CALL AND CHECK, BUT I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUN TO FIND OUT UPON ARRIVAL. :-)

Congrats! Welcome to the family! I get excited when other people are excited, lol!

I got my Amex cards last month. It is such a good feeling to be wanted by such a prestiges company, that's been around since we were not old enough to know what credit was. It's like being welcomed into a rich family that you've known since you were small. But, thought they were snobs!

I app once a month for a revolver. I should buy tampons, the denials are so regular

Wow, that's awesome on the Amex - I thought they required five years post bk. Amazing that you got it before the two year mark! So happy for you!!!!!!

Yes you are correct. My bankruptcy was deleted off of my Experian credit report. Hopefully for good, but I'm not sure. They had the wrong dates, I disputed it, and they deleted it about 2 months ago. That was one reason why I was so adamant about coming out of the garden for the AmEx at this time. So many people told me it might get put back on the report (crossing my fingers). It's still included on Transunion and Equifax.

I rememebr when I got my first Amex. I got the American Express Declined Rewards Card. No limit. No APR, No bills. No contact at all now that I think about it. Wait...
