Barclays Apple Rewards Visa - Approved

If you read my other thread from last night you know I got 3 more cards last night: Marvel, Stash, and Walmart MasterCard. $20K in limits between them all. Well, today I decided to app for the Barclays Apple Visa after talking to my mortgage company (more about that below). I got it. Approved with a $2K limit as usual. I went ahead and app'd it after talking to a Barclays rep who told me $2K is an easy approval because they apparently do not care about inquiries. Basically she said I would get it. Not sure how she knew. I have an Arrival with a $500 limit they will not budge on so I was skeptical. But, I got it and now I am in the garden for sure. I broke the $70K TCL threshold as well but I am almost positive I have shot my AAoA all to hell and of course my inquiries are bad too.

I found out today its going to be atleast 5 years before I can refinance my house to get my ex's name off the mortgage. So I have nothing but time for my accounts to age and the inquiries to fall off. Long story that I won't go into here but it was a blow to my grand plan and a major downer for me today. Nothing to do with my credit, they said it actually looks good for the refi which was good to hear. So, I drowned my sorrows in a Apple rewards card for my new iPhone 7 when it comes out in September.

Anyway, I am dreading what my scores will look like once the dust settles. My EQF plummeted 33 pts today but I can't see why yet. I think my UTIL might have updated from 1% to about 10%. But, it will recover soon.

Odd, my score went back up 34 pts. Credit Karma must be on crack. I wish I had a better way of getting my EQF 08. I hate Credit Karma Fako's.

It's funny that coming here and posting about breaking out of the garden is kinda like telling the parents you took their car on a joyride when they weren't looking and waiting for the beatdown you know you deserve.

I had to LOL at your last post, I know the feeling. I apped four new accounts within the last week. I've already saw a 10 point drop just for the inqs and I'm curious to see what happens when they start reporting. My old Macbook Pro appears to be fading fast and I was thinking of apping for the Apple rewards card until it dawned on me that all but one of the new cards has 0% promos. Oh by the way congratulations on your approvals.

Thanks, and it's okay. I know that time will fix all the damage I have done. I will let the inq's fall off and in a year or so I will kill off the less useful accounts like Newegg, Discount Tire, Fingerhut, Kohls, Target, Old Navy, BP Gas, and Chevron/Texaco. All store cards I should not have app'd. Without those apps I could have gotten much better major cards.

If you end up not liking the financing card after a year, they might let you roll that CL to the arrival.
