Another brand-new Amex (eta: and CSP!!!)

Just applied for BCP through creditcards.com and got an instant approval!! Relatively low CL ($2500), but I'm so excited to get my foot in the Amex door with the card I wanted. I'd debated starting with a charge card b/c they're supposed to have easier underwriting, but they just don't fit what I'm looking for. I was really, really hesitant to pull the trigger, as I'm still in the rebuilding phase -- glad I went for it.

~~Next on the horizon is CSP, and I'll have all of my dream cards.~~ I just couldn't resist. Apped online for the CSP and was approved for that as well!! Lowest possible CL ($5K), but this means the world to me. In just a few short months of clean-up, I've gone from having nothing but Cap1, Orchard Bank and Barclays Apple cards (with toy CLs ranging from $400 to $1200) to having a NFCU Cash Rewards Visa Signature with $25,000 and both of the prime cards I was eyeing. Bananas!

Oh yes, it's into the garden for me! I have all the cards I want or need and too many inquiries, so it's time to just tend these new babies.

I didn't get any special bonus, btw. Just the standard $150 after $1000/3 mos. for the BCP and 40,000 points after $3000/3 mos. for the CSP.

Thanks again for cheering me on! This is a big milestone in my credit life.

Oh WOW! That's amazing. Congratulations and thank you for this post! It's really giving me hope that I, too, can one day be a part of the AMEX club. I just recently got approved for my first credit card with a 638 score (now 650s) and 3.5 years AAoA and I'm already setting my goals high for my next one, an AMEX. Although I'm not too sure if I should apply for others before that. Regardless, I've still got a several months or even possibly a year (but hopefully not that long) to go before I even think about ever owning an American Express card.
