LUV Button works, Quicksilver CLI!!!!!

Hit the LUV on the 10th Statement and was given a 3k CLI

-Started from a recon to a 3k SL on 07/15

-Luv button in the 4th statement and was given a 3k CLI (advise from the community)

-Luv button on the 10th month and was given another 3K for a total CL of 9k

BIG Thank You to the myfico community, never would have gotten this card in the first place w/o all your knowledge and support!!!

I got 2000 increase 5 months ago and and hit that love button to test the waters. A big no.
Well I know it's definitely 6 months between increases. I'll get em next month for sure. Hahaha

Congrats on the CLI! I had a late last July, so my Luv button won't work until 1 year after that (this July).

That's a good question... it depends on the offer, and how much you want it!

For me, unless it's a truly worthless offer I would probably take it, since the sooner you take their offer for a CLI, the sooner the six-month clock will start for the next one... that's just me, though.

Hey Uncle B. I saw some people last year saying they turned down the first offer and then accepted a better CLI offer shortly after. I hit the LUV button last night and waiting on the response. Is there a consensus on how long between LUV taps when turning down the first offer?

From what I recall reading in past threads, it's pretty much YMMV; I've read where folks would be offered a few hundred dollars, then try again in two-three weeks and be offered $1k.

I've also read where people reported waiting a few weeks and the offer being exactly the same... so it can be a 'throw of the dice', so to speak.

Before I 'knew better' I once accepted $200; since then I've been offered (and accepted) $1k each time, which to me is reasonable (especially considering how little I use the cards). To me it also depends on your existing credit line... for example, someone with a $500 credit line who is offered a $500 CLI should probably accept it (IMO) since it's a 100% increase for them. On the other hand, someone with a $10k credit line who is offered a $500 increase might want to wait for a better offer. Again, it's quite subjective, and these examples are just what I would do... others might feel differently.
