Just got an email telling me I am now a member of the NFCU family.

Should I apply for a CC and Navcheck right away?

The scores in my sig are as current as i have, util is around 11% what would be the best combo of things to app for?

I applied with scores in the lower 700's for the NFCU Flagship, was approved for 12k, immediately after I did a CLI (yes, before even getting the card) and it was bumped up to 17k. I than applied for the NavCheck for the full 15k. My income is 50k. When app'ing for the NavCheck just request the full 15k.

I applied for the GoRewards??? with NFCU but was declined, so if your income is around mine you should see around the same Credit Limits, also I have no baddies.

Income is a $110,000 a year, only baddie is a paid judgemnt from 5 years ago. I just want to make sure i dont waste an app on a card i cant get. Also does navcheck report to your credit report?

Go for it!! You will DEFINITELY get an approval for a high limit. Navcheck does report has a revolving credit line.

My walmart TU is hover around 70x, and I recently joined NFCU too.

Applied for membership over the phone and immediately applied for the checking LOC, got approved for the max $15k.

Call back about 1 or 2 days immediately after to apply for cashrewards, and was approved for $15k visa-sig.

Although it's widely known nfcu can be inquiry-happy, if you can afford the hits i recommend applying for the LOC + CC combo right off the bat.

I don't think so. Their Flagship is their cadillac card. Many on here have 2 cards, some even 3. Flagship and gorewards or cash rewards or nrewards would be a great 1,2 punch. Just depends on type of rewards you want.

Pretty sure their UW is the same for all cards. Only thing is on the flagship you need to qualify for atleast a $5k limit. So just pick a card that fits what you want, you could always PC later if you wanted to. Congrats and welcome to the NFCU family!

I have an nRewards, a cashRewards, and a NavChek. Once my credit improves I'm going to try to pc the nRewards to a goRewards. I really like the cashRewards just fine. I don't think I will ever have a need for the Flagship, as I don't travel much.

There site seems to be having some issues at the moment, how hard is the apping by phone? And is it 2 hard pulls?

Very easy to apply via phone. Expect a minimum of one HP per product you are applying for.

Due to the bonus right now I would apply for the gorewards... after $1k spend they are giving 15k points worth $150 cash!!

when applying for NAVcheck be sure to apply for the full $15k (Navy counters!) DONT CHICKEN OUT!
