Barclay Rewards Approval Post Chapter 7

Hopefully this can help someone. Family member filed for Chapter 7 in 2012, don't know when it was discharged (not familiar with the process) but I'm assuming some months later. Last week they applied for the Barclays Rewards MasterCard and was instantly approved for $2,000. Hope this helps someone looking to regroup after bankruptcy.

Sunshinebiz, this was a family members' experience so I don't know what their credit score was. I'm assuming with the recent bankruptcy, it couldn't have been high.

Since the OP can't give specifics on the relatives stats, thought I would add my experience and stats, in case it helps anyone. I was discharged from BK 7 one year ago 11/29. I currently have two Cap 1 cards, CLs of $2000 and $750, Walmart, Amazon, Lowes, TJX. I applied for Barclay's twice before and was denied, last time about 4 months ago. Applied last week and was instantly approved at $2500, my highest CL, so far. My Wally TU score was 660, and I have 2 inquiries on TU, both recent, from Lowes and TJX last month. Nothing else I will need for quite awhile, except for a car loan, which I will put off for as long as possible, hopefully a year.
