Chase Freedom Recon Success :)

Just wanted to share my recon experience. I applied for a Chase Freedom online and got the 7-10 day message. I called the backdoor number and was explained that I had a limited credit history as well as a late payment on my report. I explained I had a cap1 secured for 2.9 years and that late payment was a mishap on cap1's part ( no idea they reported it to the credit bureaus). The lady asked me a few security questions then put me on hold for about a minute. She came back and told me I was approved for $500 CL. I will take that for now being that my secured card has only a $300 CL. Just happy to have my foot in the door.

Congrats, any idea on the score you had, I want my wife to apply before the deal goes away, I was thinking, sometime next week or early December.

When I checked on Credit Karma it said my credit score was 681

What do you have to say to these people? I called earlier today and My ficos are all over 700 but chase wont give me the time of day because of my "limited history" but Amex will. What the he double hockey sticks

A credit score is one piece of the puzzle. Chase usually requires a 9-12 mo credit history.

Just got my card today. It shows that my credit score was 631 and not 681. This is lower than what credit karma shows me

chase uses a score named "application score". and thats one of the pieces of info they consider when making desicions.... it's basically their own internal score and the range is different (100-990)

Yeah I thought as much. I have over $11k in credit avlable. So I really cant screw this up or ill never get chase
