Chase Amazon Approval!

I was just approved last month for a Freedom card, and for whatever reason I decided to take a chance on the Amazon.com Visa.

Partly for the $50 gift card, but mostly from watching my moms app spree result in 3 approvals out of 4 apps earlier in the day gave me the itch ... I need to garden

At any count I was instantly approved, but for a $500 Temporary Limit.

Got the gift card and everything and all was set up instantly at Amazon and my Chase account.

I did call, and the Rep said it looked like that was my permanant limit.

So Im curious, who has seen this and knows if theres any chance it will be higher when I get the card. And how is the Amazon Visa for Auto CLIs?

Im thinking I may decide which I like better and possibly just close one in 6 months to a year, and put its limit on the other.

Likely close Amazon and put limits toward Freedom.

Ive read thats possible, but not sure if a good idea.

Freedom 1% and Quartly 5% categories

3% at Amazon, 2% Gas,Drugstores, resturaunts, and 1% elsewhere all the time.

And I do shop Amazon ALOT. It may be better for my uses in the long run .. not sure yet.

Any ideas on this Temp limit thing?

Congrats on the Chase Amazon Visa! What's your limit on the Freedom>? I've had the Chase Amazon Visa since 10/11 and have never received a CLI, so it's been stuck at 1900 for 26 months. Took a hardpull for a CLI and was declined about a year after having the card. It was good for Amazon, so that was good. I just got the Freedom last week for 4k, so I think I'm done with the other and should maybe transfer the limits too.

Congrats! I was just approved for the Chase Amazon Visa as well. Pretty surprised that this card isn't talked about more, since 3% back at the largest online retailer + 2% on dining is a sweet deal. I was instantly approved with a $1700 'temporary' limit and called to inquire on what a temp limit was and the CSR confirmed that that is in fact the limit. Hoping that we both get some of the auto CLI love that I've heard about on this card!
