NFCU GoRewards card 25k! Happy Dance!

Ever since I read in the forum about NFCU I have wished I could join. Thanks to the outstanding members of this forum I learned there was a path to membership. I have been thinking about this over a month and decided this week, it was time, even though I have been faithfully gardening and watching my scores increase.

Yesterday I joined NFCU and applied for the GoRewards card. I was approved immediately for 25k! I was doing my happy dance all around the room! Thank you to all of you who posted about this incredible credit union and the path to membership. I love credit unions and so wanted to be a member!

Special thanks to baller who is the absolute best mentor and friend a person could have!

My future plans are to continue evaluating my cards and decide which ones to keep and which ones to let go. My focus will continue to be on credit unions. After a little over a year of rebuilding I am almost there in terms of where I hoped to be. All of this happened because of this forum and the guidance all of you provide. My plans are to re-enter the garden and stay until my scores are back in the high 700's where they were when I began apping and car buying. Then hoping for the big 800 on a couple of CB's.

Sometimes it is hard to believe that just a year ago in May I began my rebuild after Chapter 13 in 2008. Never give up, my forum friends. Make a plan and stick to it and it will happen to you, too!

You have done an absolutely fantastic job of rebuilding!! I am very proud of you. You have joined two of the top 3 CUs in the country NFCU and Penfed. You just can't go wrong with those two powerhouses on your team. Congratulations!!!
