Having Pen Fed's Promise cc reporting to each of my CRA files resulted in the following increase in Fico 8 Scores:

EQ +84, TU +66, EX +74

So? What did I do? Yes, took two deep breathes and applied for Navy's cashReward Visa.

* Have I ever mentioned I HATE having to WAIT? or even WAITING, notice the avatar yet?

So, during a lull of actual Gardening, I was notified of approval for $2,000 at 9.9%

* this is my second un-secured CC only 67 days post Ch 13 Discharge.

Amongst all of the Surprises I have experienced in just 67 days, I was originally resigned to only receiving "secured" cards.

The only modification to my original Strategy & Plan was to apply to Pen Fed, and first. My expectation was to be offered a secure card. Didn't happen.

* just very grateful for this site, and my willingness to actually read it, a lot of it.

Oh, and the advocation of Pen Fed by baller4life. It got me started, and NAVY will only propel me forward!

Hi Mia, I was and am still in SHOCK at the apr.

Had to stop, and just let it set in for a couple of hours, and it was still there after my phone call to NAVY.

I have to wait until Tuesday before I see it on the Navy site, and the following week before it is overnighted.

Until it arrives, I will probably be sporting that "post-approval" glow!

Thanks! My shock extends beyond today's approval.

I still can't believe that on a lark I picked up the phone late on a Friday night, called Navy and Applied for Membership over the phone.

Didn't believe it still on Monday when I was getting messages from them. Kept waiting for them to say it was a mistake, Sorry!

I'm sitting here, with the 9.9% apr approval, and as the shock waves pulse and wane on occasion, I just realized how this is simply a gateway opportunity to other things such as Auto Loans and things.
