I have to SOOO go in the garden after this.....Citi HHonors Signature

So since Hilton matched me to Diamond, (set to expire in March 2018) my next venture took to me get HHonors points to be able to enjoy this benefit at least a couple times so I got the Amex noAF Hhonors card and got that into my account already and was debating applying for the Citi no AF version but since I went on a major app spree I am a bit horrified at how bad my AAoA is going to drop but I just had to do it while its at 75k and also before 3 of my new cards show up on my report.

So I apped tonight and got the dreaded we need to talk to you call 000-000-000 but I felt good about it, I figured it was verification and sure enough I called in answered a few questions and he said we have two options to see what SL you would like, either take $4k or get $5k and you move $1k over from one of your other cards. I asked if at the $4k it would still be a signature and he said yes, so i debated and went ahead and started it with $5k, so now my Citi DP is down to $14,700 and this one will start at $5k.

75k hhonors points here I come! by the time I am done I will have like 160k points in my account.

I plan to maybe try to apply for teh reserve next yaer but we will see. and I am hoping that i get an upgrade notice for the amex like many got on here when I hit one year next summer.

but now FOR SURE i have to go in the garden!!!!

I keep seeing this card everytime i go to citi website to log in to my new "Costco Anywhere Visa signature by Citi" that I just got.

Perhaps I should wait 6 months and then try.

honestly i was shocked to be approved. I am for sure planning to garden now. Like I said maybe if I have a fancy vacation and need the 2 free nights if not I plan to garden until next december where I want to get the Discover. Even then barring anything new appearing I am pretty sure I have everything I want or need right now. I really do have to stay off this forum tho because everytime I read I want more! lol

My INQ are as follows:

EX 9 - AAoA ?

EQ 12 - AAoA 6y10m

TU 5 - AAoA 6y8m

My oldest account tho is with them at a little over 17 years and I just "paid" it off, I BT to the penfed but the penfed hasn't posted so I got lucky. And i have zero negatives, ever.

Of course I haven't gotten an alert so right now I have no idea what CB they pulled.

Congratulations on your approval of both HHonors cards and the points. I applied for the Citi Diamond Preferred and was approved on 8/26/16. Applied for Citi HHonors Reserve last week and was told they would contact me within a week. I called this morning and they said that need to verify a number and I had to call them back from that phone number. Its my home number so I will do it when I get home this evening.

I love your spirit. From reading various forums, I see that it would be a good idea to pair it with an AMEX no AF card. I am worried about the inquiries though. No inquiries on TU and 2 from Citi on Experian. I just may apply for the AmEx Hhonors next year. I have 9 inquires on Equifax in which 8 fall off in March 2017 (car loan never again from dealer). I have no inquiries from Equifax in 2016 so I should be ok but don't want to risk my score. I will apply again in the summer of 2017. Again I love your spirit. I just BOL when you said "I have no self control." Enjoy life!!

All three bureaus are excellent in the high 700s. No negative blemishes. Cleared CH 13 in Feb 2014.
