Marvel Approval

Well...I didn't last long in the garden. I saw that all three of my scores broke the 680 mark for the first time. I decided to step out briefly and apply for my two final goal cards, Chase Disney and Marvel. Chase went into review, but was then denied due to deliquencies in my history from 2012.

Marvel however, was a delightful surprise with an instant approval. The SL is $1000, and I called Credit Solutions to try and bump it up, but it was a no go. I'm glad I at least have the card now!

My utilization is not too bad, 18%, but it's those darn delinquencies from my struggle in 2012. I can't wait for those to fall off.

Anyways...back to the garden for reals now! Chase Disney is my last card I would like on my permanent credit profile, so I will just sit tight until then.

congrats, I want this card also. Iron Man is so dang cool looking. My TU just hit 681 and I've had to slap my hands so I can't apply.

But, I'm not allowing myself any apps till the first of the year when I try for some Prime Country cards.

Congrats. It's a great card. I always get weird looks when I hand my card over to get swiped. LOL

Thanks! The itch to app for anything has completely disappeared now. Now it's time to watch this and my other three primary cards grow. I've got all the main categories covered!

Congrats!

I spend a lot at restaurants so Marvel is a fabulous card for that. I like the automatic statement credit.

Thanks! I spend a lot at restaurants too, so I'm excited for that. I also like that the automatic statement credit is something that I can actually achieve (all the other sign up bonuses I got for cards in the past were missed due to not spending enough).

Yes, I must not give into the dark side and app anymore. Patience....

I almost went for Iron Man, but then chose the group photo...because Iron Man and Groot.

Most everyone just looks at 3% for Dining, but if you read the fine print for other categories, that 3% covers much more!

This is one of my favorite cards.

Congrats, I wanted the Marvel card too but will wait out since I just got another one recently. The Chase Disney was my first goal card and even though it's nothing special in terms of benefits and rewards, took me awhile to get it so I love it.

Thank you so much everyone! Sorry for the late reply. Finals week for my class.

I had something weird happen for the first time. I got a notification from MyFICO saying that a new account was detected. It lists my Marvel SL as $1500, but when I signed into my Marvel account it still shows $1000. Has this happened to anyone else?

Are these 'GOAL' cards.... what's SO special about the
Disney card, is it because it's Disney?

The Marvel is a slick looking card but again is it the uniqueness of the look of the card, the hype attached to it..... what makes it a MUST have, in terms of such a desired credit account in comparison to the many other products on the market?
