DP 8/24 CSR Branch prequalified approval

Curiosity got the best of me about Branch prequal. It is true, on the way home from work my car drove me 25 min away and found myself at a branch. I had no prequalified cards online.

i went in and asked to app for the CSP, sat with a Bank Officer and gave her my chase card to pull up my info and like magic said I was prequalified. Then she asked me if I would you like to accept w/ prequal terms of 16.24% so on and so forth, then signed. Came back with approval for 31k CL.

l'm 8/24 including my ink+ no store cards. There must be something in their back end branch pre-qualifications for this card. I would have never apped online.

Congrats..

Why in-branch is different than online annoys the heck out of me personally. I might have to make a 60 mile trip to ajoining state to do this "work-around" to the 5x24 rule. Why they allow it in branch vs online makes 0 sense to me other than possibly giving a person a reason to work at chase and get a small commission. Chase is really annoying me and many others lately for obvious reasons

CC, I agree with you 100%, it makes no sense at all. Sorry to hear your 60 miles away, but wth road trip.......

In a branch, the banker can try to convince you to apply for/open more products vs just a credit card. That's all I can think of.

I'm surprised the OP got the card since they were one of the big critics of it before!

Still a critic but w/ over 275k ur points the 100k sign-up bonus plus 1.50 was too good to pass up. So I'll keep it for and additional $55 a year for a super charged CSP in reality.

Wow. Congrats on that massive limit. In branch approval is where it's at. CC make that 60 mile drive. Irish has 175 miles to go. And I agree. It makes absolutely NO sense to preapprove in branch. But not online.

I dont think it matters - I posted my 31k SL approval. Instant Online - no 7-10 or anything and I had 22 new accounts including 3 other chase accts + a chase AU on a CSP in the last 24 months.

For now the CSR doesn't seem to be under the 5/24 rule.

Oh it is most definitely under the 5/24 rule online. Absolutely tons of data points on reddit proving that.

All I can think of is you got by it because you are a Chase Private Client. Anyways, congrats! I was 14/24 and had to go the in branch pre-qual way, but it worked. Now just waiting on the card to arrive.
