Merry Christmas, from NFCU!!!

Well, thanks to the wellspring of knowledge found on this board, I have been blessed by Navy Federal, yet again! I can't thank all of you enough who have contributed to my rebuild over the last few years. I am so incredibly fortunate to have found this board.

I was approved about 3 1/2 months ago for a $5K SL goRewards card from NFCU, as well as a CLOC for $3.5K (probably could have gotten higher, but that's all that I asked for). I tried in October for both the Flagship card and the CashRewards card to add an add'l card to my portfolio, but denied for both. The only reason cited was that my existing card was too new. Fair enough! So, I tried for a CLI on my goRewards card a few weeks ago, but in retrospect, I believe I was a day or two shy of the 90 day mark, so that was denied.

Last night I pulled the trigger one more time on an app for CashRewards, now that my goRewards card was more than 3 months old. Immediately got the 24 hour message. I was not hopeful at that point. BUT, about an hour later, 9:30 PM last night, I received an approval for $12.5K SL!!! I was THRILLED to say the least!!! I went back this morning and tried again for a CLI on my goRewards card, and INSTANT approval to $12K!!! All of my approvals to this point have always gone to pending. It was nice not only to get the approval but to not have to wait for it this time (I get a little impatient, I admit LOL!).

Very happy with my new card/limits, and will be going back to the garden till probably April 2017 (I have my eye on one more Amex card).

Very nice... Congrats on a new approval and an nice CLI as well! NFCU has treated me very well.. Between PenFed and NFCU I have more credit than I could ever imagine needing.

Thanks so much, CreditCuriosity!! I completely agree, PenFed and NFCU have been very good to me, as well, and I really look forward to a very long relationship with both! I'm certainly glad to hear that you have had similar experiences. I recommend them both to friends and family every chance I get!

Congratulations!! Like you I have learned so much from this Forum. I joined NFCU because of the knowledge contributors to MyFico! I'm hoping that when I hit the three month mark on my CashRewards they will show me similar love

guys i need to know something important if credit addict reading this as well as other NFCU experts just got approved for nfcu rewards visa 24k sl than 2 days later amex everyday approved 10k SL Now i am paused because of huge SL by nfcu dont wana upset them (NFCU) what is the best move should i wait few months or is it safe to open 3 to 4 new accounts after NFCU Approval the 2nd part of the question is since i got the 24k visa i am not touching the cloc i think i should not apply for that for 60 days just to be safe dont wana poke the bear lolz

You should be fine. I opened more than 15 new accounts with a few months of my approval.
