Wife's very first Card!

She has never worked a day in her life, yes very spoiled by her dad lol

Nothing to her name either.

So she got a job 3 months ago, and decided to try and get a card for her to build her credit as she wants to eventually open her own business.

So we applied for the WalMart Store card.

And immediately approved for... get this.. 300! lol

I guess, you have to start from somewhere, huh. Tried checking her FICO, and sure enough..

'We are unable to access your FICO® Score information at the Credit Bureau.

If you have placed a security freeze or lock on your credit report at the Credit Bureau, you must remove it before we can access your FICO® Score information and display it on this site.'

I'm guessing gotta wait 3-6 months of solid reporting from Synch for her thing to show up right?

Congratz to your DW.

My DW's Walmart store card started at a $250 limit. It now sits at $6k after 3 or 4 months.

It will grow, treat it well and grow her credit scores.

Thanks all.. now if someone could help me with how often should I req a CLI for her.. that would be helpful.

Since it takes 6 months to generate a FICO, if you have none prior, should I wait until one generates for her before req for a CLI? or should I just do it monthly?

With Sync cards, most of us try for a CLI every 3 months but it also depends on Credit score.

They may not let people have a decent CLI with under a 650 credit score.

Ofcourse results may vary.....

If I was your DW, I would check for her credit score every month and once it shows maybe try then, especially if over a 650.
