App on 12/14 showed application in review. Got a call today to verify info, put on hold a few minutes and they came back with approval. Only 2K CL but it is a start. I am in the AMEX family now!!! After reading earlier info interested if I should app for AMEX GC. Also interested in Chase SP or Freedom. Should I wait until the new AMEX account reports or app now? After this I am in the garden for at least a year except for the 61 day 3X CLI.

Congrats I am not an expert on those cards that you are looking at, personally I might wait a few months before pulling the trigger on them and let the portfolio you have build some history.

Sorry but didn't take the advice given and went ahead and app'd Chase Freedom. Got the 10 day notice and called the recon number. After verifying my identity I was put on hold for a few minutes and they came back with approval for 4K. Altogether a pretty good day. Gonna garden for the rest of the year except for the 61 day 3X CLI from AMEX. Thanks for the good advice through the year. I'll come back out in 2015. See ya then. Happy New Year all!!!
