Okay, I think I'm done with my application spree for another year or so. Especially from what I read about Barclays. Anyone have any luck getting a high CL than the automated system?

"You've been approved for the CarnivalTM MasterCard with a credit line of $1,000.00"

TU is hanging around a 635-650 FICO. I have a couple of lates.

Congrats bro. A word to the wise, the next time you spree, try for prime cards. Since you will be waiting more than a year, try for a discover or AMEX. Dont get stuck in retail credit. Also do not pay late with Barclay. They do not like that. You can have large limits if you do good by them.

The large limits and carnival rewards are what I'm after. I did get the Chase Freedom today (Prime), but do actually have purposes for the CareCredit and Carnival card. Those weren't willy nilly

I've heard people calling and reconing Barclays all the time after denial online, so hopefully they'll up me to where NFCU is at around $5,000.00

And I hear Barclays isn't that bad. They may not be Amex prime, but better than Cap One I think....

I resent that! Capital One was my first card and they treated me very well. No hassle cash back, no redemption miniums (which every company should have) and they will treat you well if you are responsible. Now I think Capital One has prime cards and subprime cards. The Quicksilver Visa Signature is deffintely a prime card. Best intro rate and 1.5 cash back is best in the credit card business. Barclay on the otherhand is very good as well. Chase is giving me the cold shoulder though lol

Thanks guys!

Just called the backdoor number this morning and advised I'd like to take advantage of the BT offers. He asked what kind of CL I am looking for and asked to have it matched with my NFCU card @ 5K. He said "I can't do 5K...but I can do 2.5K"...I said "That will work!"

It was mainly explaining the my balances on other cards were high because of Christmas. He seemed to be understanding of that one time occurance and wanted to know when I'd pay them.

NEW CL: 2.5K

I do. I got it when I thought I was moving back home to CA but im still stuck in MI 2 years later haha. I should really park it and find an old truck for the winter. DCT and twin turbo is the way to go!
