I joined NFCU this past wednesday with a household member as a sponser. Apped for the Platinum Visa Thursday and received a 2k SL. Highest of my other cards in my rebuild. They pulled TU which was 598 at the time. Finnaly got my foot in the door with NFCU.

Hold on now....Slooow down

Why not allow, your other cards to mature a bit before you pull those CLs from your overall profile ( yes, they are ish cards, no doubt but why the mad rush to close them, what's plan)

How aged are they?
What size are the CLs?
Are AFs coming up or something?

I'd let the Navy Plat age
Allow the Credit 1 & the Milestone to hang out on the profile with 0% debt ratio, thus helping the overall debt ratio and allow for aging and history to work in your favor.

Don't get me wrong, I congratulate you on getting your Navy approval ( they are my #1) but in fairness for Navy 2k is a lower line for them, meaning something about your profile held them back from the SLs they are known for.

So perhaps leaving those two cards on your profile as more 'paid as agreed' open 0 usage but added into available CLs could actually be to your benefit?
Trust me I know, you want to drop both those bad habits ASAP but you want to have an endgame, 2 or 3 steps already in place.

Are the accounts new/young....If not how well managed have the been over the past year to o my get what Navy gave...We've gotta find where the smoke is coming from and address it or a new fire may appear.

Congrats. I was so happy to get approved with NFCU back in November. It's my highest SL/CL (24k) to date and it was an instant approval. I think it took 2-3 months for me to be approved for membership because I initially applied during the influx of apps. My app was lost and in review forever until I got so frustrated I cancelled my membership app and waited to resubmit about 2-3 months later. It was a very frustrating process but was worth it in the end.

They're both coming up on a year soon. Annual fees to follow. Credit one limit is 450. Milestone is 300. I also have a Discover IT secured 500 limit. Cap QS1,1100 and another QS1, 600 limit. I guess I can sock drawer the Credit one and milestone for another year.

Ok, the more info I work with the 'smarter' I get 😉
Now that I know you've got a Discover, 2 Cap-1's and now the Navy Plat
That's 4 TLs, I'm less gong ho pushing to keep the 2 ish bag accounts, noting that dependant of the order and how your lineup got put together, they may never have been invited on the team in the 1st place.

You said they are both coming up on a year, so it's unclear again if they are 2 of your younger or older accounts within your lineup, had I known that info I would have most likely commented differently.

I've got NO PROBLEM with you dropping $750 bucks worth of CL attached to 2 anchor cards based upon your current lineup ( save yourself the AFs and the temptation to use those 2 and relieve yourself from the responsibility of having to double check form getting snake bitten anytime you're dealing with them)

Obviously, this changes if you have a lot of outstanding debt load spread among the remaining cards, such that, that $750 in CL might mean something but assuming that not to be the case.

With a Disco @$500 ( to be unsecured in X amount)
+ $1700 over two Cap-1's
+ $2000 from Navy

You've got over $4k in revolving TLs, which is plenty to build on and have enough room to use a bit, until you qualify for larger lines....

Again, seeing your full lineup...You have my blessing😇 to cut the two D league cards from the lineup, send them packing.

I just couldn't figure why your SL with Navy was where it was....It could be the dragging with the number of accounts in quick succession or again the maintenance of debt or something else going on, with regard to your overall profile...Not sure

However, my advice would be to chill out on apping for a moment, especially with any other lenders at this point

A) We know Cap-1 will grow via SP and you have 2 of those
B) We know that Disco can grow via SP ( all be get not the secured) point being stroke that one correctly and you'll be fine with an in house lender with no need to HP another

C) Although Navy has become a bit more app happy lately AR CLIs are possible

My overall point being there is no NEED to take another HP with regard to CCs for the rest of 2017 and still have the opportunity to grow CLs and AGE your lineup at the same time,
so no need to kill aaoa and
no need to kill score being thristy looking for more suitors, massage what you have, let the roots grow deep and strong

That way the next time ( not this year 😊) you app your credentials and profile will demand nothing but big as, CLs and great terms .....That's how you don't get stuck in nose bleed seats with brown paper bag lunches forever

Best of Luck😀

Thanks makes sense. The Cap1 with 600 is my oldest CC. Almost 8 years. But I was 18 I didn't use it responsibly but working on that. I have a tool box loan from my tool guy that's at 90 UTI. I think that's the major drag. The new NFCU plat should help lower that.
