My 90 days/3rd statement occured on Jan 19th. I tried for a CLI and it immediately went for review. I called and cancelled it because I didn't want a HP. Eventually I decided I could live with the HP to get a significant CLI so I tried again on Jan 27th. This time it was an immediate CLI. So not sure what the difference was since I was even futher past the Jan account review. I went from $3700-$14000 so that would have been worth a HP to me.

If you don't care if its a HP, I think you would get an increase. If you are considered about HP, you can try and quickly call them if it goes to review.

Hello all! Based on all of the good info I read on myfico I went ahead and opened a NFCU acount and applied for a credit card. I was approved for the cash rewards card for $2900 (not bad, my highest credit card limit is $9000 -CSP). Do they factor in whether or not I use the card when granting CLIs? I plan to apply for one in a few months and I'm wondering whether or not I'll need to keep this card in heavy rotation. Thanks.

You need to wait 3 statements and atleast 90 days bf you request a CLI , if you want chances of a SP instead of a HP then wait 3 statements 90+ days and a new AR . If you try bf those guidelines it will most certainly be denied for account too new . Also usage doesn't matter to them I've have seen ppl with heavy usage get cli and ppl with hardly no usage get a CLI also . Congrats on the new approval

I would say to be on the safe side wait for the newest AR after your 3 statements and 90 days which would be May 1st
