Lendup Card approved aka L Card

I got an email from Credit Sesame that I was eligible to apply for the L Card by Lendup. Terms of the offer was 24.9% apr but no annual fee. Also it stated that account would be eligible to double the line upon review. Said it would be reviewed two times in the first year. Said only 1 double per life of the account. My score is good 700 so I applied for it because there is no annual fee and i'm sure it will double at 7 months. I put all my info in and it approved me for $500 but it'll go to $1000 in 7 months. I mainly took it because a 1k line if because i'm looking to get rid of my capital one secured card since it hasn't graduated at the 1 year mark and the cap one secured is only 500.00 with a 99.00 deposit. If you go to the web page to apply for the l card there is a waiting list but they do send out solicitations in the mail and they do offer them thru credit sesame but credit sesame gives you a special link which lets you apply for the card. The no annual fee was a definate plus. They pulled transunion..

Sorry that they denied you. do try again maybe when your score come up a little more it will be an approval.

May i ask if you have a 700 score why would you apply for a card that doesnt seem to have growth potential. Seems like there are plenty orher fish in the sea Congrats by the way as its always nice being approved.

My inquiries are high but mostly out of curiosity to try it out. An easy 1k line with no annual fee. My cap one card at 2k but it has annual fee. I did just get my paypal extras MasterCard raised to 5k. My discover hard started at 1k but just got a 1k increase to 2k. PayPal is my highest bank card line. Hoping my navy fed card goes over 5 or 10k when I've had it for 3 months and first ar. Also going to try for my 3x clip in delta sky miles it started at 1k the 61 day mark is coming up. Sorry I got carried away rambling on I always live to talk about credit lol.

So how many HPs on each CRA do we have now....

Trying to figure out if you could make a play for more of a major card...

Could also go the Disco secured route if you havent burned them or have had a few years of your bk under your belt...

Seriously the L card is only marginally better than Credit One and inferior to even Merrick.

I hear ya, myFico is like a second home to me lol.

The thing is being a rebuilder myself and coming from ones point of view, experimenting out of curiousity should be your last thing on your mind. From what ive read , youve got some great lenders/ cards with amazing growth potential. Discover and Amex alone can take a 1000 limit and in a year that can be multiple thousands easy, all sp.

My friend, you really threw the wrench in the toolbox when you mentioned Navy Fed haha. Now thats a lender worth having and would rather use my curiosity on how high i may possibly go. Even your Sync card, which you have gotten to 5k is a grower. My honest opinion is nurture what you have and in no time youll be sporting a lineup that will have the Fico Fam masses talking with pride .

Yeah I'm with you on this. Odd since it's pretty much a rebuilder type of card The reality is they weren't improved for 1k which is pretty low anyway if you have a 700 credit score. But I guess the OP wants it for their own reasons.

The offer they gave was kinda like merrick bank double your line. they promise a double your line within a year first review at 7 months. i mostly got it because i have a capital one secured that i'm going to close. the credit line on the new one will replace to cap one. i'll get back my 99.00 deposit. i have two other secured cards from my rebuild one for bank of america 99/500 i did it mostly to get in with bofa and the other secured i have is wells fargo only because i bank with them and wanted a card with them and that was the only way they declined me for a regular card and i'd tried several times. am sure both of those will unsecure within a year. guess it's like the discover card route the way i got in with them was to get the secured i put up 1k and after 7 months they unsecured it, couple months later i hit the luv button it went from 1k to 2k. oh yeah i do have a secured citi card too. it should graduate around jan 2018 less than a year away. if they don't graduate i will get rid of them.

You are right AverageJoesCredit the ones to work on are navy federal, amex and discover. Hoping the navy federal is the one, going to try it in may after they do a sp. i'm close to having my second statement with them and they do softpulls in odd numbered months. my third statement will be at the end of march but the softpull will have occured earlier in the month so i think i have to wait on that one till may pull.

for discover i will just retry at 30 days, 90 days etc and try for softpull increases. on the amex my 60 days is around the 1st of march so am going to try for the 3x cli. i've been working on my green card spend bonus. should have the 1k spend in within the next 30 days to get my 20k membership rewards bonus. )

Yup, im new to Navy too, i got a little $500 tyke but thats ok, ill feed him a nice steady diet of time and patience and watch him grow into a fine young cc
