Navy federal cli and 2nd card approved

91 days since getting my cash rewards visa did credit line increase today went from 1k to 5.5k with that momentum I applied for second card platinum MasterCard it went to review 15 minutes later approved for 5.5k. They matched my first card limit. All before the acct review too. Must have used the one from 2.28.17 took hard pull for new card not bad for a 5.5k new card. Yippee 😊😊😊😊

Hope these data points help others. I guess my income is holding me back from higher limit. Income 25k. Not sure if I would have gotten more with newer acct review. Trans union score is 742 currently 6 percent utilization on all credit lines.

Nicely done. I just got approved for my first card with them...$16.1k. Hoping to move to $25k after my 3rd statement.

Congrats. Do you mind me asking what your income was? My fico went up 50 points since they did their last acct review but I've seen posted where on the second card navy matches your first line. Next step will be to wait about 6 more months and ask for increase in my navchek line

Some posts have said to wait 90 days and next account review in my case I waited 91 days and did increase with approval. Only reason I didn't get more was income level but 2nd card gave me another 5k so still quite happy with with them not my highest limit bank card have PayPal master card with 8k limit

First card is cashRewards 15.9 apr, 2nd card is platinum MasterCard 13.9 on this one

Nice approvals and you have a second card after 90 days. I will look at data points in the next few weeks. May wait until July.

navy federal denied me a second card until my account went past the 90 day point. if you get the first card and try for a second it will not approve until that card is over 3 months old. i don't think it's possible to get approvals for two cards back to back. it's like show some history with the first one and then if you apply we'll give you the second one. navy federal has been good to me. better than any other bank or credit union. now i did manage to get a penfed card after a denial but i had to get in after i got a survey after i got a survey they called me and gave me a card with a 700 limit. not the best i know but the rate was 13.99 percent plus penfed is a good card. hopefull it will grow too.

Very nice double double. I am of the camp that income does play a bigger part on determining your credit limit , but thats just my belief. DTI also plays into it. But great job getting your second card

Thanks AverageJoe!!!! we keep learning from myfico. this community has helped me alot. a year ago i was reading about navyfed seemed too good to be true but after experiening it i am a believer now.. I haven't seen a lender as flexible as navy federal and haven't seen any that give as much in increases besides amex and bank of america. i'm in with amex and am sure it will grow. and boa the only way i got in with them was to do the 99/500.

Love NFCU! Got cashREWARDS a few months ago for $16,200. Waited 3 months and got a $5800 CLI to $22k. A week after the CLI, got the Platinum card for $8300. A little over $30k in 3 months!

Started out 7 months ago with the NRewards secured card. Fico @ 512. Upgraded to NRewards unsecured with $2K limit. Just approved for Signature CashRewards card CL $25K Fico @780. Navy Federal is AWESOME! Credit repair works!
