Amazon Visa Sig

Hi all,

Just wanted to share that after the constant throwing it in my face I applied for the Amazon Visa while shopping on Amazon. I just moved and I have been utlilizing the website quite often. So I apped through them, got the 30 day message called the verification number beucase I thought it was my address due to me moving. They said it wasnt it was becuase my exp was frozen. I gave them my pin to access they texted a code to my cell I verified it and she I am going to reccommend this for approval. She put me on hold came back and said ur approved for the Visa Sig with a limit of $5,000. Not my highest limit but def my highest starting limit so I am very happy. She verified again that is was the Visa Sig. Got the welcome email confiming my approval and it said initial limit is $5,000 does that mean it maychange to higher? Also what does Signature mean? Lastly what is the website to set up online access? I have the Freedom so would it also be on there?

EDIT: NVM yes it shows on my chase account

Are people generally seeing four-figure limits on this card? I was thinking of applying for another Chase card rather than asking for a CLI, since Chase seems stingy with CLI, but I'm not sure I've seen a $10,000+ CL for the Amazon card yet (unlike the travel cards, which often see $20,000+ starting CL). Thanks.

Thankyou! I honestly dont know, maybe someone else can chime in that has more experince with Chase? And you are right in terms of cli at least for me. They gave me an auto incorease of only1,000 on my freedom a while back but that was it only then to approve me for 5,000 on an amazon. Mabye becuase its co-branded? I dont really care though lol just glad I got it. I have been using Amazon like crazy since I moved.

It means you are approved with a starting limit of $5k, same as I got when they first offered these cards, and credit limit increases are a mixed bag with a few people on here reporting increases (requested and auto), but most will follow Chase's pretty conservative history and stay at starting limit for 1 year or more. Bottom line is your Credit limit is $5k and won't arrive "higher".

As far as the "Signature" is a Visa marketing class of sorts - bottom right corner of the card will say "signature" which comes with a list of so called benefits, this is similar to MasterCard World and MC World Elite. Most people never use the "benefits", I know I have never used them and almost all of my Visa's are Signature versions.

Congrats on the Amazon Visa its a good card to use especially if you have a Sync Version of the Amazon Prime account too.
