Dad and I applied for CareCredit and.......

Were INSTANTLY APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like we can give it one more shot since tomorrow is the last day of 2013(crazy crazy credit year). It was a joint app so this will report as an acct that belongs to me right? This card will be usefull for our 5 dogs and 2 cats or my dad since he is getting work done on his teeth which by the way should we call and ask for a higher CL?? Will it be approved or is it a maybe. CL approved as $2,300 pretty small but considering our HIGH UTL it was a shocker to be approved. SO YES I HAVE OBTAINED MY FIRST CC!!! 2014 you better fasten your seat belt.

EDIT:it will report as an acct belonging to me. excited!

So should I request a CL and if so how much?? It would be great if a $5000 CL was reporting on my CBs, does carecredit report to all 3 CBs, and finally who do they pull when applying?

Congrats! When I got mine I asked for $5000 because of the forum! I thought I was asking for the impossible at the time. I almost fell off my chair when it was approved. IMHO ask high they should counter. Good Luck and thanks for sharing.

@ptilda well I have nothing on file like literally nothing but 6 inquiries on EX and 0 on TU & EQ, And my dad has HIGH Utl(52%) no derogs and FICO scores for 3 CBs are in the 680-690 range

I'm so happy for you .... You are well on your way now!! Not sure about joint apps as I have no experience with them but I am REALLY hoping this shows up on your credit report. I know how badly you want and deserve that.

Thanks misscredit9 and yeah a joint app is like when you co-sign for a car loan, so I know forsure this will report since the credit was based from both mine and my dads credit.

WOW... BearsAndTurtles strikes GOLD!!! Congrats on your firsty CC. If you are going to CLI or reconsider the initial CL, it needs to be done within 24 hours so they can use the same HP.

When I applied online they asked how much I needed for my services and I typed in $7500 and was approved. It's great for utilization... haven't used it much other than $250 in vet bills.

They pull Transunion... and report to all 3 AFAIK.

Congrats on the approval.

call the number tomorrow, it's usually automated but don't get scared and hang up if you happen to get a message they are transferring you to rep (my partner had that happen and still no new hp) I would ask for $10k and it will instantly counter you the highest it can go.

but as so done. Else said after your tomorrow cli future cli by you will be hp but my partners card went from $800 to $12k at about 4-5 months on a cli so might be worth it for you next year but see what you get tomorrow!
