A surprise Citi SP CLI! (3000 > 4500)

Not really a long story here, but I was just checking my Citi TYP account to see my last statement post. It's only my second statement with Citi so far, but just out of curiosity, decided to head to the CLI request page and was really surprised I got the SP CLI button!

Clicked it and was approved for a solid 1500! Sweet! Seems typical of Citi, but still happy to be at 4500.

Congrats on your Citi SP CLI!!! I'm a new member to the Citi family, so your post as a fairly new member is really inspiration for me! I cant wait to see that button for myself, but for now I am stoked for you!

Sweet job Neve, i couldnt get a Citi sp increase if i painted my car in Citi logo and drove past its Ceo's house but im glad they gave you some of that luvin

Congrats! I'm new to Citi so this is good to know. Hopefully they will increase the intial 2k limit on my Diamond Preferred.....if I ever get the card. Been two weeks since approval and still no card.

congrats! they've been slowly giving those to me as well, 6 months apart.

One thing you can do to help track it is post a calendar event if you have some sort of phone or online calendar (I use one on a Gmail account) for a recurring event every 6 months.

So far this has worked well, and they keep giving me SP CLI's every 6 months on the dot.

Congrats on the increase. The Citi computer Gods must have been in a good mood this weekend, I got of soft pull $1500 increase on my Citi Hilton from $5000 to $6500 (got the card 3/8/17) and another one on my Citi AA card from $6500 to $8000 (got the card 3/28/17).

I'm hoping later this year to have them combine the Hilton CL to the AA CL when they kill off the Hilton card. That would give me a limit of $14K or $14.5K if they will move everything over.

With these two increases it brings my total credit lines up to $58150, something I never thought I'd see.

Just want to thank everyone for the sweet congrats! Also wishing everyone luck on their Citi SPs! Nice to hear that I may be on a consistent 6 month CLI train with them. Hoping the same for everyone else, good luck!

Congrats. $1500 seems like the standard because that's why I got back in January ando probably what I'll get in a couple of weeks.

Log into your account - select Account Management - select Services

In Services you will see Credit Line Increase (in blue)

Select Credit Line Increase and follow the steps. Souldnt take but a minuite to complete and less time to get your answer.

Thanks for the info, I found the link and was a bit nervous to proceed considering I just received my Citi Advantage card in AAdvantage in April with SL of 18,000 but I pulled the trigger and giftd with a $1500.00 increase.

I have a Diamond Preferred card with an $1800 limit which is way smller than any of my other cards. I opened it 2 months ago. When I logged in today my limit was up to $5000. I didn't ask. It was a nice surprise.
