Discover IT Approval

So today is turning into an App Spree as after getting Cap1 Venture for $20K I decided to finally try for the Discover IT. I've been getting pre-approval mail for the past year or so.

Apped and was told to call them.

Called them and they verified some information and approved me for $5500 (Which is 500 more than my highest reporting Bank Card). I was stoked and hung up and thought, well maybe thats a little low. Called back to back door and asked for "more". Placed on hold and he comes back with $7K! Not too bad.

Now, the question is do I go for 1 more card today while I'm on the hot streak???

Discover IT has 14 Months 0% on BTs so I am thinking of transferring one of my balances there. Do I have a shot with Citi, Barclay or BofA for a decent BT card? Would love Ring but worried that my current balance on my NFL card will be a problem...

Nice job on 2 solid approvals. If there is another card you can use, add it to the spree. But don't add a card just for the sake of it, only if you know you'll use it a lot and still be using it a year from now.

Thats awesome on your Discover but thinking 5500 is a little low, especially after being $500 higjer than your highest reporting, probably has you a little high from your Venture approval. Lucky for you, Discover agreed

You could try two AMEX cards with one HP. But get some that will be worth it and have points bonus after certain spend. Use incognito windows to get the highest offers.

Question: Amex hasn't been my friend. My BK was from 2010 but haven't been too interested in me. They were not IIB. I have had 2 corporate cards with them - one not tied to my personal and a recent one that is (But I had to recon to get approved). I did have a lot higher utilization then though (80%)...

Current scores are EX 708, TU 721, EQ 721

So Amex approved me for BCE for 500. I'm stoked to be in with them. Should I try for another card still? What about a recon on the limit?

Ummm...my Ch7 was discharged on 10/2010. I got four AMEX cards in 2015 with no recon needed:

AMEX Delta - Now closed

BC - Open

HIlton - Open

PRG - Open

How do you apply for 2 cards and have only 1 HP?

Sorry, just saw this...usually you apply for two cards in one day and they use the same HP. Not sure how many days that 1 HP is good for when applying for multiple cards with AMEX.

2 Super approvals....Congratulations....if I were in your shoes, I would take it and run unless there is a card out there that woulf be USEFUL to you...just my 2 cents but again..awesome approvals...good luck on whatever you decide!!.....

EDIT: Didn't notice your AMEX approval until after I posted....Way to go...Congratulations!!!!

Well, I ended up APPROVED for the Surpass card too. 1K SL and another HP, but 2 Amex cards within about 9 days....
