Citi Simplicity Approved - huge

After a lot of careful thought, and a lot of analysis into what i was looking for in a card, and also 4 years of not app'ing for any credit cards. I looked at everything from US Bank Cash +, Capital One Venture and Chase Freedom (pre qualified all). I bit the bullet on Citi Simplicity and was approved for $15,700 immediate reply and email. I did a balance transfer. APR. 14.49%, 0% APR for 21 months purchases and BT.

I closed the Discover IT, had the card 4 years and nothing $2300. Not worth it

I closed QVC card, not worth it had the card for 4 years.

Congrats on an awesome SL with Citi... my SL was $200, but also my deposit, *shrug* got my rebuild started in September of last year, and I plan on keeping the card until it unsecures to see what they can do for me!

Salary $125k

I have Amex BCE = $15k, Citi DC = $18k, AFCU V = $20k

AAoA 7 yrs give or take a few months

Overall Utilization 11%

I am done, be another 4 or 5 years before i apply for anything else.

First of all, congrats! An approval is an approval. The huge starting line is awesome.

Besides one BT, what other benefits attracted you to the Simplicity card?

By the way, I have one at $6,300 but where are the benefits after the promo period runs out?

The only cards I will ever apply for again are cash back cards.

I went to Compare Cards and looked at everything. I love the no annual fee, no late fee. Mostly looking for BT card, i plan to fix my house and buy big purchases and this allows me 21 months. I already have 2 reward cards/cash back. I wasnt looking for that. Great customer service, always helpful when i call. i love that.

I have a long history with Citi, they were my 1st prime card after rebuilding and bad breakup, many years ago, when no one on the planet would be give card but Citi.

Should not have closed Discover IMO. Excellent category benifits. You closed it out of spite... for the low CL? I am VERY happy to have Discover. I used Dscover reasonably and saw rapid results within just two years. Best customer service out there too.

I agree. In my opinion you should of kept the Discover, it's one of my top cards in my wallet. No FTF, 5% dining right now which is clutch for me, great customer service, card design is nice, prime card, and no annual fee.

Congrats on your Citi approval though!
