Clicked around the credit offers of various banks this am, picked up a

Cap One Quicksilver $500 SL

...Minutes later a...

Chase Freedom $7,000 SL!!!

Previously had a 6 month old

Cap One Platinum $300 SL raised to $1300 earlier this month

CS Before Approvals... EQ 684 TU 625 EX 668

Negs: 1x $139 medical collection 4 months old (insurance fight)

1x VW Credit Repo 6 yrs 7 months old (very very bad illness :< )

Closed VW Auto Loan 'Paid' Never late from 09

No update post approval CS yet.

Congrats! i wonder if 2AM is the open door for approvals...lol. Really nice one on the Chase!

Have you tried getting the negatives removed? You do that and your scores will be even better!

Yeah, the Medical collection cost me a Citi CC. They had been sending me pre approval letters multiple times a month, when I bit the bullet it was auto declined. The letter 7 days later pointed to 'recent collection activity'.

That actually blind sided me im embarrassed to say as I had only really been paying attention to my TU which they of course didn't report to.

The doctor office was supposed to hold fast while I pursued it with my insurance company (which sent me a letter to not pay them) They seemingly had no qualms but they're apart of a larger medical group and turned it over at corporate level..

Someone advised me to just pay them directly, request courtesy removal then if they refuse pursue it via the BBB. Not sure yet exactly, seems like there are a lot of ideas here.

As for the VW, its almost at 7 years and should drop afterwards I assume.

I would leave those pre-approvals alone for a while.

If you decide to pay them, make sure you get it in writing that they will remove that from your credit report...how much is the medical bill for, if you dont mind me asking?
