Citi Secured Mastercard Approval!

I'm working on rebuilding my credit after a couple of bad decisions. I applied for the Discover It Secured Card two weeks ago and was approved so I figured why not give Citi a try too. I applied last Wednesday and recieved that generic 'your application is pending processing.' Well I noticed on Tuesday that the security deposit was taken out of my account but still the same status sat on my screen. Then just a few minutes I recieved an email stating that I've been approved! I'm so excited! Sure it's a $200 limit but I've got to start somewhere right?!

Congrats on the approval. Others here have had a lot of trouble getting approved so you are winning. No more secured cards though, let these guys grow.

Experian - 579

Equifax - 597

Transunion - 594

I also have two accounts in collections--one which I recently paid earlier this month after being served--and a CO with Capitol One.

Those IMO are 2 of the best secured CC vendors to be in bed with....

2 "Keeper" vendors, Discover and Citi both may absolutely spend 20-30-40 years or more in one's wallet (age dependant*)
