Macy's credit limit increase

Hi everyone I'm usually lurking but I decided to step in and say hello. I recently got a Macy's card in march for a $300 limit. In July I requested an increase and was given a 4,700 increase. In August I requested another 5,000 and was approved. Tonight I requested another 5,000 and was approved. I am super happy right now although I wish I would have gotten the Macy's Amex instead of just the Macy's card but nonetheless I'm still happy and grateful.

Thats awesome! I actually didnt realize how well their accounts can grow by requesting an increase instead of waiting for one. I had my account with them for years and didnt request an increase but they were being sent automatically. After reading here, I learned that I can request them online myself and now I'm probably addicted to the love button pushing it too much. But I was able to grow my account from $300 to over $12K. Their also Sp's online so I try to request one often, lol.

Same here, long time lurker, finally posting...

I think I got my Macys store card around same time, $600 SL. July asked for $3k increase, they countered with $1500. I just paid my small balance off last month, so reading your post I just logged on and asked for another cli of $5k, they countered again with $1500, so now Im at $3600 in less than an yr. I like how macy asks what you want and will counter instead of just at straight denial. Interesting, they will send me a letter for the $5k cli denial, I think I use that to get hard copy of my credit report.

My account is 1 y 10 m old, 300 SL they did an auto increase to 1000 in March or April, just requested a CLI and got countered to 7k. Haven’t used it since spring and probably won’t for a while, in fact I was going to close it. But didn’t and now its perfect for padding credit limits. 🤤🤤

In had my macys card for two years pay on time every month but I can’t get a increase my starting limited is 300

Started with them 2 years ago at 800 and now it is at 20k. Not sure why they love me so much but every few months I ask for more and get it. I dont use the card much at all. At zero balance currently.

Congratulations on your CLI. After reading about your success, I decided to ask for a CLI. First, I tried online, and I got a statement saying CR would be pulled. I cancelled, and called and asked about a SP. Yes, I qualified for one and asked for a $7.5K increase to $15K. Instantly approved. Doing the happy dance!!!
