Some users (including me) have an option to request a CLI online but it clearly states "once submitted you can't dispute the inquiry" so seems like they've wises up to myfico'ers lol so for me it's only over the phone. $4,100 is a bit odd, but it's better than $1,000. You'll be able to grow it quickly

I got an offer in the mail for a TCF Platinum Visa thru FNBO. It is my first card with them. I just got the letter out of the blue & figured why not & filled it out online & was approved. I am kinda curious what people know about them. How long before I can get a CLI? Do they have other good cards I should consider? Is there anything specifically I should know about them?

I just got approved for the FNBO Complete Rewards VS less than a month ago and that's my first card. From what I do know about this bank, they are very conservative, but once you're in, you're in!

This bank does have a history of tossing out nice SP CLI's every 4-6 months by calling them up and asking for "any new specials" and if you're eligible they give you the increase, however if you just call and state your intent is to get a CLI then you might find a HP so stay generic with them. Their cards are nothing to write home about, but they aren't bottom of the barrel either. I got the Complete Rewards because when redeeming cash back its 2% flat on everything so it's a good match to my Citi DC. I don't know too much beyond that (other than every time you call you'll be pleased, customer service is the name of the game with FNBO). I'm sure some others will chime in with other nice perks. Many folks have been eyeballing their NRA Visa offering 5% Gas Stations and Sporting Good stores - not bad at all. Congrats again!

Thanks for the info Credit_is_crack. Thats weird about how to go about the CLI but Im glad you told me to ask for "any new specials". I am going to for sure charge a little & pay it off right away & hit em up at the 4 month mark & try to get a CLI. I was approved for $4100. I thought that was odd. $4100. You would think it would be 4000 or 4500. That NRA visa sounds good too. Thanks again
