US Bank Cash + Approval / Data Points

Hey guys,

Wanted to give you some data points for my recent US Bank approval.

I have no history with US Bank at all. I was preapproved with a variable APR. They pulled TU.

Scores - 709 EX, 728 EQ, 735 TU
AAOA - 1.5 years
Inquires - 4 for TU
Total Util - 16%
Highest CL - 6k
Approved SL - 15K

Went to manual review and was approved with no recon. No baddies on my reports. Carrying a 50% balance on my discover with a 6k limit. Opened 6 new cards in last 3 months.

Wow that's really good compared to what I've been reading about others' starting limits of $500. I was thinking of getting one until I read about that $500 SL with another HP to get a normal limit nonsense.

Thanks, yes all 6 new accounts were reporting. I am in NY. I was expecting the 500$ limit as well so when the rep said 15,000 i had to ask again if she meant 1500$ lol

Congrats on the nice SL! I got a $5k SL a couple of weeks ago with 3 new accounts (1 to 2 months old) and 2 other accounts that luckily haven't reported yet. Fresh HPs with BofA (CLI) and Citi (denied). I'm in NY too but they pulled EX (13/24 Inquiries). Highest CL is $33k and less than 4% Util. I recon'ed the SL to $10K but was declined. They claimed "sufficient credit available and high number of new accounts/inquiries."
