Pre-mature appulation Discover IT approval.

Pulled myfico TU this morning and seen a score of 666 TU fico haven't checked this in a while I have been rebuilding heavy now since august

I had a cap1 secure that is two years old as of jan 2014 but I have not pulled a credit report while I had the card up until August 2013....

horrible reports I then decided to was time to get a hold of my financial future and clear up most of the negatives that was not accurate. After disputing i was left with a clean report on EQ except for a default student loan. Started rehabbing that as well and apped for a secure BofA card in october. Should of tried for an unsecured but I was a bit scared of a denial even When I seen my EQ was 701 after the disputes but my EX and TU was still really low

For some reason the student loan is still being weighted quite heavily on EX even though in oct 2014 it will be off my report as per the Florida department of Ed. I choose to rehab it with the intention of getting the 6year history it has to hopefully reflect positive...

With recent knowledge of my fico I have been planning a app spree in feb around the 17 after my BofA reports but the devil(maybe the 666 fico score is proof) is real and feeling a itch I decided to app for the IT card as it is on my list for the February app spree anyway apped online and get a your app is being review by an senior analyst please create your account username password etc... I'm like why would they as for that if it's possible denied. I then noticed the number to call I did right away and was transferred to a senior analyst. He asked me why have I took so long to establish credit I told him I usually use to handle purchases with cash but now realize the importance of a solid credit history. He said he understood and he is approving the app with 1500$ CL is that ok I said yes. Realizing after I hung up that that may have been an opertunity to ask for more smh.

Now I wanted to app for a dcu and a duck card I wanted to wait until my BofA report the new lower balance as my score drop on EQ due to the fact I let the BofA report over 50% utl last month EQ is 654 right now. Should I wait till after the 15th(BofA reports on the 15th) of this month to app for the other two cards are wait till the original date of February 17th as by then the discover may show and affect my score in a positive are a negative way??

Kinda weird but discover peeked at my EX as well even though the app said they would pull TU.

My rule of thumb for apps is to do so when utilization will be reported at its lowest during the month I choose to apply in.

Double pulls are not uncommon these days especially if they deem you on the edge with one bureau.

yea that's a good rule of thumb. New rule of thumb do not check myfico score until in am going to app on dates planned.

Nice progress indeed & congrats! Definitely hold off applying until your CRs look more optimal and once you confirm everything's updated.

Yes finStar your right I'm will see what the EQ score look like after the 15th and then decide if I will app for the DCU and the duck. Then off to the garden till 2015 are until my student loans are fully rehabbed and reflecting on my reports around June this year are so. I have read student loan rehab may take a few month after the 9th payment to update so about oct-dec before I even consider rounding out my wallet with a BCE/BCP and a CSP are freedom. I'm already opting out of any pre-screened offers to try to curve any temptations

Sounds like you're on the right track. Best of luck when you apply for the Duck card (psst...there's also the Beaver version - easier on the eyes )
