Hey guys, just applied over the phone got an instant approval 10k.

They had me donate to a preferred charity to membership requirements.

Data points Fico 9 750 across the board
9, 8, and 11 inquires no derogs
Income boarder 90k +

Depending on the card. You may want to open a checking account on that hard pull. It will come in handy, if you decide on the Powercash Rewards card in the future. It's a HP to open a checking account by the way. Makes no sense at all. Probably why I haven't bothered.
And while your at it hit them again for a second CC on the same pull.
You can always combine limits later if the other card isn't useful.

Congratulations! I agree with Gmood. Go for another card on that HP. I apped for both the Rewards and Promise within days of each other. Enjoy your new CL!

CONGRATS!!

Going to app for this card next week as soon as my last baddie gets removed. Did they ask for income verification? Was there any advantage to calling in instead of apping online?

Anything else new members should be aware of? I know there is a DP thread but i keep getting penfed and nfcu dp mixed up lol.

Currently, I am waiting for the security pin they send via snail mail so that I can set up my online account. Should I just fill out the straight app for the second cc without having set up my online account? Will they just match socials on their side?

No income verification, I also do not think there was an advantage in calling over the phone for the app. The CSR seems to enter exactly what I would have entered online.

Ok, quick update, so I applied for a 2nd cc and their loan officers reached out and stated that new accounts can only get a max of 10k within the first 6 months. They offered to split the amount onto another card, however, I left it with one as I am in it right now more for the Util and large account side of things.

One question though, this card being 10k as a signature is there any way that I can convert it to an Infinity card?

Congrats! Did you have to open a checking or savings account in order to gain membership or was it just

the donation to their prefered charity? I have had PENFED on my list for a while and haven't taken the plunge.

Was required to open a savings for the donation, per recommended in this thread I opened a checkings aswell to avoid an HP in the future .

One thing to mention about the access America checking account is that it has a $10/mo service charge unless you keep $500 daily balance or $500 direct deposit per month. Also, you have to have the access America checking (or be active/retired military)to get the 2% back on the Power Cash Rewards or the 4x points on the AMEX Pathfinder. Otherwise they will get 1.5% and 3x points.

Thats strange...I applied yesterday after donating the $17.00 and the $5.00 for Savings and was approved on phone for the Power Rewards card SL $17,000 at 16.49 apr...she never mentioned anything about $10,000 being max. Anyway I was excited as this is my 1st ever card over $10,000. I was denied in Oct 2017 and Jan 2018. I dont know what they pulled but my EQ Fico 9 is 713 and is my highest score of all. Just wanted to add data points. Congrats on your card

Also congrats on that 17k limit. I applied end of April and received 10k as well. I did not try for a second card using the same HP however I just assumed I was at their max.

Was going to try for cli around day 88 hoping that they use first HP still as I’ve read some success stories here recently.

Congratulations! I was approved for $10K towards the end of last Summer. I’m hoping to see some growth soon..

Something to note, my first payment posted within a day of me making it. Then I noticed it took at least a week for that to happen. I later read they hold payments for 7-10 days for the first 6 months. Someone with better details might be able to add to this.

I was approved for the visa signature last night for 10K and this morning applied for the AMEX card and it went in verification. Later when i check online both the application shows requiring paystubs which i uploaded. The visa one which was automatically approved shows 'Amost Done' and the AMEX one shows review. Did anyone experience this? Did i mess up my auto approval? Will they reject my my auto approval. I didnt lie or anything about my income though and uploaded what they asked to. Will have to wait till tomorrow.
