Last dream card approved!

Okay so I have had a bit of high utilization lately and also my inquiries have been high but today I got an email on my pending application with Citi for the Double Cash card I had applied for on 05/11/2018. As you can see it was approved! Obviously not for the best limit or the best rate but this is a big thing for me. I've been wanting this card ever since I started building credit and now I got it. My credit bureaus will now be locked for no more applications and I will farm what I have currently and work on paying my debt down for the next year and a half or so. One question I do have is for those that got approved for a similar limit. How long did it take for your first CLI? whether that was auto or requested and also are requested CLI always a hardpull?

Congrats. Though not $500 my sl was $1200 and took over a year before I saw any increase and that was a $600 auto. Til this day I still cant get the infamous 6 month sp that abounds other CitiLites

Thank you! Seems like the majority of increases always comes through a hardpull with Citi lol maybe once I pay everything and my scores are flying high with no debt and no inquiries they will entertain a higher limit!

I hope you have better luck than I did with the DC. I had that card for over a year after they kept sending me pre-approvals in the mail. My scores were garbage at the time but they gave me an instant approval with a $700 limit. A year later my scores were pushing 700, with about 10% UTI and the best they would give me was another $500. When AMEX saw fit to raise my limit to 6K and Disco started me out the gate at 3.5K Citi was persona non grata and I closed the account.

Exactly!! haha I have high limits on most of my credit cards but I'm okay with this one being low for now. I don't know why but for some reason I've always wanted this card. I think it looks super cool and it's a legit Citi card. Not co branded like my Costco but straight Citi. Obviously I didn't do it for just the look. Now I finally have a 2% cash back card!
