Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® Card Approved

I have a up coming trip and was looking at tickets, because of the amount of flying I have been doing lately I decied to pull the triger on applying for the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select card. With the 60,000 bonus miles for $3K spending in the first 3 months it makes a lot of sense, not to mention picking up the additional miles for the tikets and spending. I figured that I would go ahead and apply get the card before I bought tickets so I could use the card for my entire trip.

I had checked the Citi pre-quaifly site but didn't see anything coming up. I went ahead and just cold app for the card, within a few moments of finishing the application it popped up that I was approved with a starting CL of $10,400. It looks like they pulled my Experian report which is my highest score.

EQ FICO 8 - 681

TU FICO 8 - 673

EX FICO 8 713

Total Utilzation is at 2%.

There is information on the doctorofcredit blog. Not sure if sharing their blog is permitted here.

Just ask for the 75k offer vs 60k. They gave me the 15k difference immediately. But I had to try twice. I wasn't successful using live chat but sending the message did the trick

I didn't know about the 75k. I went to live chat and the csr sent a request to change my offer to 75k for the 3k spend. Thanks for the info!
