AMEX PRG and NFCU CashRewards Approvals

Been rebuilding my credit for the past 2 years with no new app. Started rebuilding 1/2016 with low-500s. Bunch of Charge offs, 3 collections 5-6 years old still holding my FICO score down. Checked AMEX website yesterday, surprisingly pre-qualified for AMEX Green, AMEX PRG, but no revolver. Pulled the trigger on the PRG, instant approval. EX HP FICO 8: 626.

Then decided to apply for NFCU after opening a checking and savings account last week. Went for the CashRewards. Instant approval for $1,000. TU HP FICO 8: 641 . NFCU internal score: 323/450.

Congrats on your approvals. That’s a solid pick from Amex with your EX score.

Both of these will grow like wildfire. I wish you continued success in your credit journey.

Thank you. Yeah, I was pretty shock with the PRG pre-qualified. The NFCU should grow pretty fast.

Thank you. I was expecting an instant denial with my EX 626 score even with the pre-qualified offer. lol

Both of these cards, combined with responsible use going forward, will help

to attract other great offers as well. As I'm sure you know from reading all the

posts in this forum, Navy Fed is notorious for being incredibly generous with

CLIs. So don't be surprised if some 5-figure credit limits come your way in the
