Ikea Projekt Card approved $5500 SL

Stepped out of the garden for this card. I have been to Ikea 3 times in the past month and each time thought about pulling the trigger. I thought about the VISA card but stuck with the store card as I have a couple daily drivers and the prequal showed a nice SL.

Went online to the pre-qual and said I was prequalified with a $5500 limit. Pulled the trigger... in review...

Letter came today and I verified some info... approved for the full amount. Super pumped. Not only will this help update the home (friggin love IKEA) but it'll pull my Util down under 8.9% when it posts.

Data points

Experian pulled - 19% util, 8 inqs, 646 at time of pull, AAOA 2 years 5 months, new accounts in the past year... 14... haaaaaa

Need to get back in the garden for sure!

When I was looking at the ikea project card it looked like the minimum you had to charge was the 5k. Are you having to do that? And congrats on the approval.

It does look like that from the way it's written but no, you can charge any amount you want on it. To get special financing and a fixed rate etc you need to spend over $5000 in one purchase.

Congrats on the approval! I was approved for this card too at 9.5K, and was able to get it up to 16K just using the luv button. Maybe worth a shot

I got the dreaded "don't call us--we will mail you a letter" response when I applied online. I didnt try the pre-approval, just went straight for the hard inquiry to get it over with (regrettably). Can you share with us what you got and what info you were asked to verify?

Sure thing!
It was very odd questions about my address, car I bought in 2005, student loans etc. They more or less ask generated questions from your credit report. That was about it.
I did call every other day for 2 weeks on an update. I thought I was denied but couldn't believe it since I pre-qualified and have 4 other comenity cards in good standing. Good luck to you!
