Chase Sapphire Preferred Experience

Hello all. New to site and forum. There is alot of good information here. Very nice community. Thought maybe my most recent experience might help. I started off just randomly applying for cards in early summer with no plan or direction, ecept I just wanted to rebuild from being out of the credit game for many years.

Then I realized I should be trying for a good Chase card, because I want to take advantage of travel benfits.

So, Jump ahead to Chase

Timeline:

8/21: Applied (Experian blocked, Eq pulled), went to 7-10 days review
8/22: Call #1 CSR called to verify identity, I belive for Southwest card. Not sure because couldnt make him out
8/22: Call #2 CSR called me before 1pm PST to verify identity, app approved in 10 min, clarified it was CSP
8/23: Called Chase to have card expedited, they agreed, said I should receive by Monday
8/24: Card received before noon via UPS.

Chase Specific Data
651: Card Acquisition Risk Score V2

$5k: SL

Priors that may have affected:
1 secured account 1 year old
4 non-secured trade lines opened within the last 60-90 days
(one is AMEX that still hasnt shown up on any angency,and MARVEL just approved 8/2018)

**One pending app for US Bank out there in limbo. Rep said it went to underwriting. Does that mean approved?

So Im in a 5/24 limbo now

Utilization:
3% across all agengies

Scores from Agenciesat time of application:
EXP:750 Inq:5 Neg:1
EQU:745 Inq:4 Neg:4
TRU:750 Inq:2 Neg:1
Negatives show as charge off or paid as agreed.

Denials:
Amazon (Chase) - May 2018
Citi AA Elite - June 2018
Barclays Arrival - August 2018
Comenity J Crew - July 2018

Applied for Southwest card Aug 21, 2018 - pending

This has been a busy summer for me. I should start that gardening thing now, right??

Congrats on the approval. You’re making progress so now probably would be a good time to head to the Garden. Let your Chase card age some, the baddies get older and your chances at other approvals will increase. Good luck on your existing applications.
