AmEx luv and Disco Double Dip

Today is day 181. AmEx BCP luv for 2x. From $6,200 to $12,400. In hindsight, I think I left money on the table. I’ll stay at this for a while not wishing for AA. If I close out cards, this train of thought might change. I’m going to change this to my daily driver.

If AmEx shows luv, would Disco? Went on line and received $300. Really? I know they can do better. Called in. Told rep I was unhappy and it was one of my lowest limits. She bumped it up to $1,000. Now I’m at $4,000.

Nice way to start my Labor Day!

EDIT - I called AmEx. They have allowed me to move $2,300 of my BCE CL to BCP and to cancel BCE. I don't see the value of having 2 BC type accounts plus, BCP will be my highest limit card at $14,700.

Good way to start Friday morning, by reading good news. Congrats on the Amex love! Sounds like Disco was a bit stingy, I'm sure that will change.

Congrats on the CLIs! Gotta love the Disco SP Double-Dip! I’ve never gotten large CLIs from Discover, but they are pretty consistent with the frequent small ones, and I’ve never had to use a HP. Happy Labor Day Weekend indeed!

Disco generally requires your account be open 90 days before asking for CLI; should always be a soft pull. The Double Dip or DD just means when you receive an increase online you immediately call up customer service and see if they can get you more

You can try. If you don't see an option online, you can call in and request an increase. I was able to get a Disco increase around sixty days Ask them if it will be a SP or an HP. Best wishes!
