American Express SPG Luxury Card Upgrade Approved

We can't open new cards right now but Mercedes Platinum and SPG are our daily users so the upgrade is worth it even without the bonus for us.

I submitted the request online the day it launched and received mail about a week later saying it was done and today received a thank you but sorry for the delay in sending out new cards because of the high demand and that we will receive the new card design within next 60 days.

AF stays the same until renewal and then will go to the new $450.

Interestingly enough, the morning after I sent the secure message I had called and asked for an upgrade and was told they weren't doing them and to try back in a month... When did Amex reps get as bad as Capital One?!
