Approved for USBank Cash+

Finally got my first top tier credit card. Prior to now I only had 4 Comenity store cards and 1 secured credit card. But I've had a relationship with US Bank for 8 years and saw the Cash+ card listed on my latest prequal. I had been waiting about a month to close on a condo, and the day after that was finalized, I applied for the card. They immediately pulled TU (which has been the case for every loan app I've done with them in the past).

Two business days later I got a congrats email, and when I called to check the SL I was very pleasantly surprised with a $10k limit. I had read a lot of stories of $500 starting limits, but I assume my history with them was a factor. There is also the fact that I currently have about $7500 in my checking account, and my Comenity cards have an average CL of $8500 (with a util of less than 1%).

It's nice to have a 'real' card finally!

Congrats on your approval! Love the 5% categories they offer. Also - when selecting the categories - the cell plan bill - US Bank offers insurance as well for all devices under the bill.

Thanks all!

For an encore, I figured since I was already out of the garden and had one HP on my reports, I might as well go for two. I applied for a C1 Quicksilver this morning and was instantly approved with a $9k SL. Between the two new cards, I have everything covered for a while. Time to go back in the garden until I start seeing prequals with Chase.

Congrats that is an awesome SL for USB and Cap1.

Welcome to the club, i just recently got one as well. I however only got 5.5k and my $300 saving acct had only been open about 14 days Having history with them really helps.

Yeah, I suppose that would be more accurate. Only 1 HP for USBank but 1x3 for Cap1. I tend to group HPs across all reports when they're from the same app.
