So Called "Bracketed" Cap One QS Gets CLI!!!

I received a nice little surprise from Cap One yesterday. They increase my cl from $511 to $1511 on my pc'ed quicksilver I'm still in shock lol, this was a card that I never thought would grow. It was originally a secured platinum with $200 , credit steps increase in September 2017 to 500 that I changed to a quicksilver back in April after being unsecured in March. I requested another increase 6 months later in March & was told by a CR that the increase from September would be my one & only & that my card was recently pc'ed over, but that they do review accounts periodically.

For the past 4 months I've been maxing out & repaying 3-4 times a month & giving them 5x the payment. I did let balances report, even though I usually pif on the card, the largest being $330 in July. Idk maybe that helped to give me an increase, but at least now Cap One saved me the trouble of bugging them for an increase in October.

Thanks everyone, it feels good to be appreciated by Cap 1, especially for one their low-bracketed cards. Funny thing was I was seriously considering SDing my QS if I was denied an increase next month & after I app for the Chase Freedom Unlimited in Nov-Dec. Now with the increase looks like Cap 1 is back in the game.

They definitely keep track of how much you spend and pay. 3 months minimum before the CLI request is when you need to give it heavy use. I did it for my stuck card and got my first CLI in 2 years for $750

Quick question: my statement comes out on the 16th (the card will have a $0 balance) will my new increase have time to report or do I have the wait until next month? This will really help will my utilization while I'm paying down on my discover card

It's immediate. You should have it now, which means it will be on your statememt if it hasnt cut yet
