TDECU & BBVA Compass Approvals

Applied for Membership and Credit Card with Texas Dow Employees Credit Union out of Houston, TX and both went to manual review, on the credit card app you can request up to a $35K limit, so I decided to try and match my $25K RBFCU card. Minimum limit is $2K, figured if approved I would get $5-$10K. Received an email that I had a pre-approved counter offer of $2K, guessing I was approved by the skin of my teeth as I have about 15 new accounts in the last 6 months and about 40 inqs total. They pulled Fico9 EQ and I have a 726. TDECU is the 3rd largest CU in Texas.

Also got a pre-qualified letter in the mail for the BBVA Compass Clear Points credit card, decided to app and was approved instantly for $3,400.

No Chase for me AJC, can't apply for them until December 2020 at this rate. 5 months ago I was in the low 600's, score just steadily growing each month.

Anything special about TDECU..0% apr or reward points. In Houston there’s Shell fcu which I know is giving out limits pretty large as well.

I didn’t get the Rewards version credit card , went after the low apr which I received 11.99. 0% for 12 months on balance transfers.

TDECU cards range from $2K to $35K limits. I have never heard of Shell FCU. Which bureau do they pull?
